Influencer marketing is growing fast, but the operational work behind it still looks like a spreadsheet, inbox, and reporting-dashboard problem. On August 13, Kineto, an AI company spun out of JetBrains, launched Kinetik For Teams, an AI agent that runs influencer and content marketing from inside Slack and WhatsApp. The product is designed to find and vet creators, draft personalized outreach, develop briefs, support content production, and report on performance. The timing matters. CreatorIQ’s 2025–2026 industry report, based on 1,723 brands, agencies, and creators, says average reported annual influencer-marketing budgets rose 171% year over year, with 71% of organizations increasing investment. Yet a Q1 2026 Digiday survey of more than 100 marketing professionals found that only 25% use AI for influencer marketing. Kinetik is aimed directly at that gap: more budget and demand, without requiring every company to build a dedicated creator-operations department.

The bottleneck is coordination, not content generation

Most teams do not need another tool that can write a caption. They need a system that can turn a campaign brief into a reliable sequence of decisions: which creators fit the audience, whether engagement looks authentic, how outreach should be personalized, what the creator must deliver, and whether the result justified the spend.

Kinetik’s product materials describe creator scoring across reach and relevance, checks for brand-safety and public-relations risk, content and sentiment analysis, competitor monitoring, trend research, and campaign analytics. It can pull data from GA4, Amplitude, and Meta Ads, then send reports to Slack. That workflow is more consequential than a generic chatbot because it connects research, execution, and measurement in one operating loop. See Kinetik’s business workflow and plan details.

Why this launch could expand influencer marketing beyond large brands

Kineto CEO and co-founder Andrew Zakonov says U.S. influencer-marketing spend is set to grow nearly 16% in 2026, while adoption remains concentrated among the largest companies because the operational load is too heavy for smaller teams. CreatorIQ’s data points in the same direction from another angle: nearly two-thirds of newly allocated creator-marketing spend is coming from traditional paid and digital channels.

An agent that lives in a team’s existing chat workspace lowers the cost of participating. The company says Kinetik is trusted by 10,000 creators, offers a free trial, and has plans for teams of one to 100 people starting at $50 per month. Those are company claims, not independent performance benchmarks, so leaders should treat the launch as an access and workflow story—not proof that AI alone improves return on ad spend.

The strategic risk is automating the wrong incentives

Creator selection cannot be reduced to reach. An agent can accelerate the wrong choice if the brief rewards cheap impressions while the business needs qualified demand, repeat purchase, or brand trust. Kinetik’s emphasis on content fit, suspicious engagement, sentiment, and audience feedback is useful because it points toward quality signals, but teams still need to define what “good” means before automation begins.

Human review also remains essential. The product page’s workflow says the agent finds creators, scores them, and drafts outreach; the user hits send. That boundary is healthy. Keep approval gates for creator selection, contracts, disclosures, claims, usage rights, and final creative. Require every campaign to preserve a record of the brief, the data used, the decision, and the resulting business outcome.

What marketing leaders should do now

  • Start with one repeatable campaign. Choose a product launch, affiliate push, or seasonal promotion with a clear audience and conversion event.
  • Build a creator scorecard before connecting an agent. Include audience fit, content quality, engagement integrity, brand-safety risk, cost, assisted conversions, and downstream revenue.
  • Connect performance data, not just social accounts. GA4, CRM, ecommerce, and ad data are what let an agent optimize toward business value rather than vanity metrics.
  • Keep humans accountable for trust. Require approvals for outreach, sponsorship disclosures, claims, contracts, and any content that could create legal or reputational exposure.

Kinetik For Teams is an important signal that agentic marketing is moving from campaign ideation into the messy middle of execution. The winners will not be the brands that automate the most messages. They will be the teams that give agents clean performance data, explicit guardrails, and a measurement system that connects creator activity to revenue.
