FACEBOOK ADVERTISING STRATEGY 1:  Target Your Resources

 

Why do you want to use FACEBOOK ADS?  Because they are cheap (at least the way we do them); and, they produce incredible results.  I’ll take the price issue first—cheap.  Let me say this very clearly, there is NO WHERE ELSE that you are going to be able to target your particular audience like you can in Facebook.  If you sell CPA software, we can tailor ads to go to CPA/Accountant types, period.  If your looking to fill your Bar with Saturday night sports fans, we can do that also.  What’s the point of advertising on radio or television where your audience might be 5% of the audience your paying for?  Ok, what about specialty magazines or trade papers?  I will simply say this—do you know of anyone in any trade or specialty that spends, on average, 3 hours a day reading their specialty magazine or trade paper?  According to , the average user on Social Media does spend about 3 hours per day:

And, by the way, business owners (read that as “those folks with money”) spend over 4 as do “decision makers.”  Suffice it to say, an add on Facebook is going to be worth far, far more than your other advertising venues because the right people are going to see it—and, the right people are going to see it more!

 

 

 

Facebook Advertising Strategy 2:  Control Cost

 

 

Since we can drill down on the numbers all day and since I will be glad to have this discussion about value anytime in the future, let’s move on to numbers.  Basically we have 3 non-custom packages (I say this because most of the time we can bring even more value once we customize the program for your business—but this will give you a good benchmark):

 

BASIC — $100/month + Cost of the Ads

  • 2 Ads per month (roughly one every other week)

  • Complete statistical review so you can tell how many reached, interactivity with the ad, etc…

 

STANDARD — $175/mo + Cost of Ads

  • 4 Ads per month (roughly 1 per week)
  • Includes: Ad Design, Ad Modification, monitoring — fully service implementation
  • Complete statistical review so you can tell how many reached, interactivity with the ad, etc…

 

DELUXE — $300/mo + Cost of Ads

  • 8 Ads per month (roughly 2 per week) 
  • Includes: Ad Design, Ad Modification, monitoring — fully service implementation
  • Complete statistical review so you can tell how many reached, interactivity with the ad, etc…

 

 

Ok, so there you have it!  Now, I know what you’re thinking — WHAT’S THE AD COST?  In general, you can run a pretty effective campaign for about $45-55 per ad.  Again, we can customize the numbers to get your needed results—but, that’s a good baseline number to budget with.

 

In general, your total costs look like this:

BASIC – $200 per month

STANDARD – $375 per month

DELUXE – $700 per month

 

 

For that, you are going to reach on average (3,000-5,000 buying units per ad).  Check out the numbers and you are going to see—NOTHING ELSE IS THIS CHEAP TO REACH YOUR TARGET MARKET.
